Meet our team
A team of travel experts, friends with a successful track record building software
Here we are (again)
We are 3 co-founders who have been working together for the past 7 years. Our last startup was acquired by Hopper in 2021, where we led the European expansion. During that time, we focused on flight and hotel connectivity, integrating major European channel managers such as D-EDGE and SiteMinder. We also led partnerships with large B2B brands such as banks.
Before Hopper, our background was rooted in the airline industry. In 2018, we built one of the first NDC aggregators, working with Lufthansa, American Airlines, and British Airways to unify their APIs for travel agencies. As a result, we also have deep expertise in NDC connectivity.
1. Why Jinko, why now
We are entering one of the biggest platform shifts of the past decade. We cannot simply stay on the sidelines and watch the story unfold without being part of it. We experienced the internet boom in the 2000s, the rise of mobile in 2008, and in 2025, the shift is being driven by agents.
Agents are going to reshape consumer behavior. They will change how people search, shop, and book travel. Since comparing options and making decisions has always been time-consuming, we believe agents will empower travelers in their decision-making process, helping them make the best choices based on their context.
As with any major shift, new technology needs emerge. Without the necessary investments in these technologies, suppliers risk falling behind while OTAs strengthen their market dominance by adopting innovations faster.
That’s why, our mission at Jinko is to provide the frontier technology for travel suppliers to be able to compete and increase their direct distribution in the AI era.
2. Why are we betting on Travel Suppliers
Until now, marketplaces have captured a significant share of online travel. Their strength has come from aggregating supply and demand in one place, enabling customers to make more informed decisions. By consolidating supply, they were able to optimize conversion rates, which in turn allowed them to invest more aggressively in marketing. This investment brought in more traffic, reinforcing a powerful growth loop.
Of course, we are referring to platforms like Expedia and Booking.com.
In the AI-driven world, we believe the role of matching users with the right offer is shifting from traditional marketplaces like Booking.com to AI agents. These agents have unprecedented capabilities to browse, compare, and negotiate the best available options on behalf of the user.
If there’s one thing we learned during our time at Hopper, it’s that price matters. And because travel suppliers are the ones setting the prices, they now have a unique opportunity to attract agent-driven traffic and grow their direct distribution.
But there's one key requirement: agents must be able to shop and book as easily as they would on a marketplace like Booking or Expedia.
3. So, what’s next?
We’ve built the missing piece of software travel brands need to succeed in the AI era. Our platform is built on the MCP protocol and enables you to expose your inventory, pricing, shopping, and booking capabilities natively to AI agents.
Designed for enterprise-scale deployment, it offers the analytics, control, and security you require to operate globally without the risk of infrastructure cost spikes or data vulnerabilities.
If you share our vision and you think we can empower your brand to thrive on the AI era, we would be glad to get in touch at demo@jinko.so
